Kirby Triple Deluxe

Kirby Triple Deluxe is a really fun and cool game for the Nintendo 3DS. It has 3 modes of play right off the bat: Story Mode, Kirby Fighters, and Dedede's Drum Dash.

Story Mode is the main game. Kirby is sleeping in his home at night when a bean stalk starts to grow from underneath. Taking him to the clouds he witness' the kidnapping of King Dedede. And so the story unfolds. In story mode the game has you look for sun stones hidden in the foreground and background of each level. Collect enough sun stones and you unlock the boss stage. New to the game is a fruit that gives you the power to do a super suction. Use this to defeat stronger enemies and solve puzzles. There are even a couple of new abilities acquired from new enemies. What I really like is that you can collect keychains that have pictures of characters from past kirby games.

Then there is kirby fighters. A multiplayer kirby death match; this mode has you fight 3 other kirbys with there own copied abilities.

Lastly there is Dedede's Drum Dash. You play as King Dedede while jumping foreward bouncing on drums and collecting points.

This is the best kirby game yet. If you have a 3DS and like kirby games then this is the game to get.

Real Life

I've been away from my blog for a really long time. Its NOT because I forgot about it or because I was tired of writing. I been dealing with something in my life that I thought I would share with you. I suffer from schizophrenia. Which means I hear voices that aren't really there. I hear them 24/7. In my case they mimic my thoughts. Think of it like an annoying echo. Like when little kids copy what you say to bother you. They also comment on anything I do which is usually followed by an insult. And since I hear them 24/7 it feels like I'm being followed. It feels that real.

This is what I've been battling with since I was in highschool. After highschool I was fine but it recently returned. I stopped drawing. I stopped reading. And I stopped writing. But don't worry. I see a therapist once a week and I've been getting better. Slowly but surely. Enough so that I feel well enough to get back into doing the things I like to do.

So now you know. I hope I shed some light on the illness to everyone reading this. If your view of me has changed for the worse then I guess this is where our friendship ends. I'm still the same person you got to know so don't judge me. I guess thats all I have to say. So on to the next...

The Wizards Promise By Cassandra Rose Clarke

After reading all the Harry Potter books and all The Hunger Games books I had trouble finding the next great book to read. That is until now. I went to the library one day browsing through the books, not looking for anything specific, when I found The Wizards Promise. I read the back and it sounded interesting. So I read it and enjoyed it. But here is the problem. I did research on the book. The internet says this book is part of a 2 book series. The 2nd book (if I understood correctly) hasn't been written or published because the publishing company has decided to shutdown. So should I recommend this book if its gonna end in a cliffhanger. If you dont mind a cliffhanger then continue reading.

Like I said, I found this book to be very interesting and enjoyable. Its about a girl named Hanna who wants to become a real wizard. But she is stuck apprenticing for a fisherman. Or so she thinks. As she goes on her first real adventure the truth about her fisherman teacher unravels. All while facing the dangers of The Mist.

I really hope the sequel gets published. Oh well on to the next good book I guess.

Being Puerto Rican

Yesterday was the Puerto Rican Day Parade. On that day we Puerto Ricans show our pride for our island in many different ways. We wave our flags and honk our car horns and blow our whistles. We march around the neighborhood wearing clothes that display the Puerto Rican flag while screaming "BORICUA!!!" at each other. In past years this is how I celebrated. I'm Puerto Rican and I'm proud.

Epic The Movie

I recently got the movie Epic from my older sister who thought I would enjoy it more than her kids. Turns out she was right! This movie was really cool. The story revolves around this girl named MK. She comes home to reconnect with her father who has been studying this mysterious race of creatures living in the forest. Due to dramatic events that unfold rather early in the movie, MK enters this hidden world, chosen to save it from destruction by the hands of evil warriors.

The environment in which the story takes place is a real sight for sore eyes. What may look like a regular flower or dandelion is actually a living creature. Some of these creatures are voiced by celebrities like Beyonce as Queen Tara and Aziz Ansari as the slug. I really enjoyed this movie. I'll end this post with two words. Thanks Sis!

Thanksgiving Memories

Every year my mom would get a turkey from the local Car Service and make the best turkey dinner for thanksgiving. The complete dinner would consist of a Ham with pineapple slices and cherries, Potato Salad, Rice and Beans, Pernil, and Turkey with Stuffing. We would also have family over along with their significant other (my sisters and their boyfriends).

Thanksgiving was always a holiday that I looked forward to celebrating because it always meant spending time with family. It also meant eating my mom's delicious food. Before we ate though we would say to ourselves what we were thankful for. We wouldn't say it out loud in a circle like in the movies and TV specials but the meaning was there.

Speaking of TV specials I would watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and then after that came the National Dog Show. It was cool to see all the different types of dogs. The parade was cool too but it was mostly focused on broadway performances than the actual balloons.

Last year was a bit of a letdown because it consisted of just me and my mom, which is fine but I would have liked the usual family gathering. And we didn't get a turkey. But this year I'm hoping we'll get back on track. Whatever happens though will be ok because you just gotta be thankful for being alive.

So I just wanna make this clear to everyone that reads my blog that this blog is as much mine as it is yours. What I mean by this is that if you have an idea for a post dont be afraid to let me know. I'll try my best to do it justice(if I can). I recently added a SmartChatBox (http://www.smartchatbox.com/) to the blog which will be used to suggest topics and for discussions on current blog posts.
