Kotaro Lives Alone

This anime doesn't have magic. It doesn't have adventure. Hell it doesn't even have a hero. But you know what? It doesn't need to. What this anime does have is heart.This anime is a very special anime. It had me close to tears in every episode. it tugged on my heart and made it feel very heavy every time I watched. I can go on and on.

Kotaro Lives Alone is about a very little boy named Kotaro who moves into an apartment complex all bye himself. Doing so causes his neighbors to wonder who are his parents and why is he alone. As time goes on his neighbors becomes his friends. They help him with many things even though Kotaro Prefers to be independent. Every now and then the same question pops up: Who and where are his parents. A question that is always dodged by Kotaro.

The reason why this anime made me feel how I felt is because of his innocence, mature personality and the small peaces of info you learn about his past. He may be independent but it doesn't mean that he doesn't have a lot to learn. For example; Kotaro gets sick during school but refuses to be sent home. He says that's a sign of weakness. A classmate then tells him that its ok to be weak because then there is room to be strong and grow. 

I watched the English dub of Kotaro Lives Alone on netflix. That is the one i would recommend you watch.Why? The English voice actor for Kotaro (Cherami Leigh) is perfect for this role. I cant imagine Kotaro sounding any different. it just works so well. So if you have Netflix then you should definitely watch this anime. so far there is only one season consisting of ten episodes.

I'm Mrboldlyblue And I Love Farming Games(Re-written)

 I have a problem...an addiction...As the title of this post says: I'm Mrboldlyblue and I love Farming games.

When it comes to deciding what game I should play next its a no brainer. My choice of game will most likely be a farming, crafting, or alchemy game. You may be thinking whats so special about farming, crafting, and alchemy games. I'll tell you. What draws me to these games is the ability to create something out of nothing. Grow crops to sell and make money. Or combine them to make a tasty meal. Chop down trees to gather wood to make furniture or repair a broken building. I find doing these activities really fun. This casual gameplay is a relaxing break from other types of games.

Don't get me wrong though. I also love action, adventure, and puzzle games too. It's just that farming games will always have a special place in my heart. I would list all of the farming games I own but the list is too long and I don't want to embarrass myself anymore then I already have.

There are two new farming games coming out soon that I plan on getting. The first one is Monster Harvest. This game is very unique. You see you grow crops like any other farming game, but the twist is that you have the ability to mutate them into monsters that you can take into turn-based battles. Monster Harvest also has a story which not many farming games have. Discover the secrets and take down Slime Co. Seems like they are abusing the power of the slimes. This game should come out August 31st but the release date has been pushed back 3 times already so who knows.

The second game is called Kitaria Fables. This game is similar to Rune Factory. You farm crops to make money but you can also use them to make healing items. You can also make weapons and armor that will help in real time battles. In this game you play as a warrior who has to protect a town who no longer has warriors to fight for them as an ancient evil comes crawling back. This game will come out September 2nd. Both of these games will be released on all consoles. I can't wait to play them.

My Thoughts About Pokemon Journeys

 Pokemon Journeys is the latest Pokemon anime to give exclusively on Netflix. I haven't watched Pokemon in a long time to be honest. So when I saw that Netflix had a Pokemon show that wasn't so long like past seasons I decided to give it a chance. And I'm glad I did.

Pokemon Journeys is very different from past seasons. Ash is no longer traveling around to collect badges. Instead he is participating in the World Coronation Ceremony. Basically he is challenging trainers to Pokemon battles to increase his rank in order to challenge the worlds strongest Trainer. Personally I love the change up. Its cool that Ash is doing something different for once. 

Ash's new friend for this season is a guy names Go. His goal is to catch every kind of Pokemon. Let me just say this. He is one lucky dude. Through out the show almost every Pokemon Go catches is done without a Pokemon battle. I guess the rules of weakening a Pokemon before capturing it doesn't apply to him.

A new region means a new way of battling. It's called Gigantamax. Your Pokemon will temporarily turn huge and fight with super strong attacks. Some Pokemon may even change form.

So i'm really enjoying this season of Pokemon. Give this a chance and I guarantee you will love it too. And as always its on to the next...

Slime Rancher (Slimy Yet Satisfying)

So back in october I downloaded the game Slime Rancher for the PS4 and I dont regret it at all. Its such a unique game. Its kinda like a farming game and a monster collecting game had a baby. The story goes that you are a girl who is sick of her everyday life and moves far away to get away from it all and starts a ranch to survive. Thats all the story they give you. But your gonna have fun so the story isnt that important.

GAMEPLAY: In this game there are creatures that roam the land. These creatures are slime. there are many different slime. Your job as a Slime Rancher is to collect slime using your Vac-Gun. Once you do that you need to feed them. Feed them their favorite food and they poop or produce plort. To make money you exchange plort for cash. Lastly, use your cash to upgrade your ranch and unlock more areas. You can even fuse different slimes together to produce more plort.

GRAPHICS and DIFFICULTY: The graphics in this game are great. 3D and cartoony similar to the graphics of the legend of zelda wind waker. This game is really easy and chill to play. Except for when you accidently make a tarr. Tarr are creatures you dont want in your ranch. They eat slime and can multiply quickly. When you start a new game it will ask you if you want the ability to create tarr. Personally I said yes to have that extra challenge.

This is a really cool game. I would recommend this game hands down. Well its on to the next...

Ok so remember when i tried my hand at streaming gameplay on Twitch. Oh you do? Ok so you already know what a complete failure it was. Mainly because of the fact that i didnt have a good mic. Well this christmas i got a brand new gaming headset! Time to dust off my Twitch channel and try once more to stream my ps4 games.

Big News

So I have some big news to share. An indie game company, called Polyspice Games, contacted me saying that they loved my mobile game review of Pokemon Quest. They liked my writing so much so that they wanted me to write reviews of mobile games for them on their website!

What does this mean for the future of This Dudes Club House? Well i will still be posting content on my blog. I will just be writing mobile game reviews on the Polyspice games website. What I'm Playin: Mobile Games Part 2: Pokemon Quest

Hey welcome to part 2 of my What I'm Playin Mobile Games Blog. Today I will be reviewing the mobile game Pokemon Quest.

Pokemon Quest is a game where you set your pokemon out into the wild to battle wave after wave of pokemon in real time. Then with the berries that enemy pokemon drop you cook food that will attract pokemon to your base. Once that is done all you need to do is tap on the wild pokemon and there you have it. You have successfully recruited pokemon to your team.

The gameplay is simple. When your pokemon are out there battling they move on their own but you get to decide when they attack and what move they use. Although i would have liked to be in control of the pokemon's movement its not a deal breaker.

The graphics are interesting. Both the pokemon and the environments have a minecraft look to it.

Pokemon Quest is a mobile game worth checking out. its a fun unique pokemon game that is free to play.Thats right. You can play through the entire game without the need of purchasing anything.

What I'm Playin: Mobile Games Part 1: Mekorama

Hey so I thought it would be a fun idea to talk about the games ive been playing on my phone. The first one i'll be talking about/reviewing is going to be Mekorama.

Mekorama is a puzzle game where you try to get your little person from point A to point B. Sounds simple right? Well if you take into account moving blocks and red people that stand in your way its not so simple. So far I am loving this game. There are 50 levels to tackle and each one is challenging in its own way. Another thing to point out is that this game is playable offline. Plus there is the option to make your own level. Lastly the look of this game is cool. it has a block like minecraft look to it.

I would definitely recommend this game (which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store for free). Keep an eye out for Part 2 of this blog post where i will be reviewing another mobile game I've been playing.

Spiderman Into The Spiderverse Review

So I just watched Spiderman Into The Spiderverse and it was awesome. Im gonna break it down to visuals and story for this review.

the visuals in this movie were great. it was similar to watching a comic book come alive. some scenes used speech bubbles while other scenes used story panels. it reminded me of the game ultimate spiderman for the ps2. although they used this technique only a few times it was enough to make the movie enjoyable.

the story was also great. kingpin has created an interdemensional machine and has successfully killed spiderman. using this machine has accidentaly transported different versions of spiderman to his world. it is up to miles morales (the newly bitten spiderman) and the other spideys to destroy the machine.

This was a really great movie and i thoroughly enjoyed it.

Professor Layton

When it comes to video games it doesnt matter if its old or new. If its a good game its a good game. Thats my motto.

Professor Layton isnt a new game series but I recently beat Professor Layton and the diabolical box for the DS and it was a GOOD game. I thoroughly enjoyed it. If you dont know about Professor Layton games its simple enough to understand. you play as a detective/archaeologist (Layton) who solves mysteries. The gameplay revolves around puzzles and brain teasers that you need to solve that are based on the mystery. I was surprised at the number of puzzles the games give you to solve. Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box gives you a total of 138 puzzles to solve through out the story. and on top of that the game gives you 3 mini games. 

An insane amount of puzzles plus 3 mini games is the basic format for all of the games in the series. thats what drew me into getting a professor layton game, even if it was a DS game. An old but great game.

Sonic Movie First Impression

Ok so the trailer for the sonic the hedgehog live action movie was just released and I am not a happy camper.

So let me start off by saying i get it its a live action movie. everything has to look realistic. But the way sonic looks in this live action movie sucks. And why do we need live action movies for every little thing? i think it would have been better if it was animated. Since its not animated and it is live action things needed to be changed. how Sonic looks though...it just looks bad.

All is not lost though because the movie does incorporate the Rings. jim carry plays dr.eggman and he really looks like him...atleast for part of the movie. and the way sonic runs looks really cool. i hope that they include the chaos emeralds too.

ok so ive been having problems streaming. Either my internet connection goes out mid stream OR my mic decides to not record my voice while streaming. Hello 2019!!! Hello Games!!!

Hey guys i know you havent heard from me in a while but thats only because I took a little break from blogging. Now that it is the beginning of 2019 I hope this new year will motivate me to continue to blog again. 

With that being said i hope you had a great christmas and new years. I got two gamestop gift cards for christmas which i used to buy Spyro The Reignited Trilogy and Ni No Kuni 2. 

Playing The Spyro Trilogy definitly brought me back to my childhood. My niece and I would always play spyro whether it was on the playstation or gameboy advance. Spyro on the PS4 looks amazing. the graphics in this game is top notch. The gameplay is just like it was when spyro was first released. which is a good thing. Its very nostalgic playing a level you remember playing years ago but now with enhanced graphics. 

Ok so the other game i bought was Ni No Kuni 2: Revanent Kingdom. To be honest when i first saw this game I was disappointed to learn that there would be no monster collecting. That was the best part of the first Ni No Kuni game! But I gave it a chance. And to my surprise its actually not that bad. In Ni No Kuni 2 the battles are now in real time. Also as you progress through the game you get to build your own kingdom.

Pokemon The Movie I Choose You (SPOILERS)

A couple of days ago I was on youtube browsing through videos when i found  Pokemon The Movie I Choose You. I was originally looking for Pokemon 2000 (my favorite pokemon movie). But I said what the heck ill give this movie a chance.

This movie is a re-imagining of Ash's start as a pokemon trainer. The beginning of his adventure with a twist. The beginning of the movie stays true to the show with ash and pikachu fighting the hoard of spearow to ash giving away his butterfree to ash rescuing charmander from the rain. The twist here is that when Ash sees Ho-oh he receives the rainbow wing and learns about the rainbow hero. The rainbow hero will travel to the end of the rainbow to meet Ho-oh and have a battle.

This movie was just ok for me. I say this because there was no end of the world plot that pokemon movies usually have. This movie should have been more of a pokemon special episode. Not a movie.

Unravel 2 Review

Hey people I got a new game! Its Unravel 2 for the PS4. I saw this game at the e3 press conferences and it really sparked my interest. If you dont know this game is a puzzle/platformer where you play as a small yarn character similar to Little Big Planet's sackboy. Since this game is a sequel the creators have added a second yarn character for you to control. Two yarn characters connected by a piece of yarn makes puzzle solving that much more interesting. 

I am really enjoying this game so far. This game is 2 player but can be played by yourself to. In this game you have to make it from point A to point B all while manipulating your piece of yarn to get past obstacles. Although there are only 7 levels each level will occupy your attention for quite a while. Also there are 20 bonus challenge levels to complete.

The graphics in this game are awesome. The environment looks so realistic and beautiful. It will make you say "Wow". There is a story in this game that (in my opinion) has nothing to do with the two yarn characters but that shouldnt stop you from getting this game. This game is a must have to add to your game collection.

Fullmetal Alchemist Live Action Movie

Fullmetal Alchemist is one of my favorite animes. So when I found out that they were making a live action movie I was like awesome. This is gonna be great. then i learned that it was gonna be in japanese with an all japanese cast. They are gonna ruin this movie...or so i thought. I watched it and im glad i did. It was soo cool seeing scenes from the anime portrayed by real people. And having it in japanese didnt ruin the movie at all. I really enjoyed this movie. If your a Fullmetal Alchemist fan then you should give this a chance.

A Gamer's Fustration

Hey I just wanted to share a short story of how I got the game Disgaea 5: Alliance of vengence for the PS4. It took me three attempts to get this game.

My first try I went to my local GameStop and asked for the game but it was out of stock. So i did what i usually do when gamestop doesnt have a game I want. I did an in store order. So I paid for the game and they ordered it from a different gamestop(or atleast i think thats how it works). So I waited a couple of days and then it came. I popped it in to my PS4. And to my surprise the game was completely in Japanese. The buttons, the voice acting, and subtitles were all in japanese. So I returned the game to gamestop and had a good laugh about the situation with gamestops workers. They were just as surprised as i was.

My second try: I do an in store order again, thinking nothing can go wrong this time. So i tried again and waited a couple of days. It arrives at the store and i pick it up. Popped it in my PS4. this time the screen said Corrupt Data. Im like really? Im getting fustrated and so i return the game again and i buy Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5 Remix instead.

Try number three:For christmas and birthday i recieved gamestop giftcards. I really wanted this game so i told my sister Third Times A Charm. using my giftcards, i ordered the game on gamestop's website.Guess what! I finally got an english, working copy of Disgaea 5: Alliance Of Vengeance. 

Note: I dont hate Gamestop. Its not their fault. And im not writing this post so others will hate gamestop. I just thought it was a funny story to tell.

Popolocrois 1998 anime

So a little while ago I stumbled across this anime called Popolocrois on youtube. What drew me in was the art style. It seemed that every character looked like toddlers. young or old, good or evil. everyone looked like toddlers. After the art style drew me in the story sealed the deal.

Popolocrois is about a young prince named Pietro who finds a girl who has fallen from the sky. Caused by the villian GamiGami the girl must find her way back home with the help of Pietro and his witch friend Narcia. Along the way the girl struggles to decide if she even wants to go back home.

If your looking for an anime with alot of action then shoo...go on ...go away. Although there are a few battle scenes this anime mostly revolves around the growth of the main characters.

Im glad i found this anime and i recommend it to everyone. Before I finish this post i just wanna tell you that i watched this anime with subtitles. I dont know if there is a dubbed version out there. Although for me i enjoyed the japanese voice acting.
